Dragon Shale continues to develop its technology and know-how for commercial processing of oil shale (kerogen oil) and remains primarily a technology, development and management company. As such we continue to review and evaluate all applicable published technologies and work with inventors to review and help improve their new technologies. We develop our own technologies and partner with others as appropriate. We identify oil shale resources for commercialization and evaluate them based on the best available process technology. Plans for our first commercial joint venture operation are progressing and partner and investor selection proceeds. We continue to work with others to promote responsible commercial oil shale development projects through joint production, infrastructure and upgrading ventures. Our strategic objective is to create many oil shale operations around the world that responsibly develop this vast mineral resource to produce socially valuable products. We are dedicated to the following strategic principles:
- Smaller is better,
- Differentiated, high value products are better than commodity fuels,
- Cooperation among oil shale industry professionals is needed and
- All stakeholders (surface users, mineral owners, operators, neighbors, investors and workers) deserve a voice in the resource development process.
In keeping with these strategic principles, we are today announcing that we have become a Sustaining Member of the National Oil Shale Association (NOSA). SALLC and Ettanet have worked with many of the NOSA members for years. We have found them to be a dedicated group who realize the many complexities of the oil shale business. We are pleased to be associated with this fine group of professionals. To learn more about NOSA and view an informative video on oil shale visit: http://oilshaleassoc.org/. We also suggest a reading of their recently published white paper concerning the industry. Dragon Shale hopes to continue to promote its strategic principles through its participation in NOSA. Furthermore, we hope to influence outcomes, so that our strategic objective of creating many responsible operations around the world is achieved
