35th Oil Symposium, Salt Lake City
Ron and his two interns successfully delivered their research this past weekend at the 35th Oil Symposium in Salt Lake City, Utah. Over ten weeks worth of research into Utah’s vast oil shale resources was performed by SALLC as part of the Ettanet/SALLC/Blue Ensign summer intern project. The team traveled all over Utah and eastern Colorado visiting various sites, existing producers and the CUOS property as part of the research.
This work was condensed into an eBook, presented at the conference, “Oil Shale; Treasure Trove or Pandora’s Box?”. Their aim to engage the American public in how best to utilise the worlds largest deposits of oil shale. This research has formed a basis for the work of Dragon Shale – a need to improve processes and reducing costs. Something that Dragon Shale is now well positioned to do thanks to this extensive research.
